The BT-258E Deluxe 8-string Baritone offers a melodic layering of low-end harmony for enchanting , harp like sound. Combining Guild's historically large jumbo body shape and their legacy of pressed back construction, the BT-258E Deluxe boasts a deep, full-frequency baritone voice complemented by two octave strings for added sparkle. the arched rosewood back projects whole low-frequencies, while the solid spruce top ensures the high-frequency octave strings blend in gorgeously for a symphonic tone. The low end is great for playing in an ensemble or for playing standalone. This 8-string baritone is tuned B-E-a-A-d-D-F#-B, five steps down from a standard guitar. We chose a solid Sitka spruce top and arched flamed maple back to mirror the tonewoods that have been used in upright bass construction for centuries, resulting in a clear, tight bass tone that is impressive for its reduced size. The back, sides and neck are finished in a satin antique blonde finish, which adds a rich depth and unique character to the wood’s figure. The Jumbo Junior Bass’s deep voice can be amplified or recorded using its onboard Guild AP-1 Active Acoustic Piezo pickup system with built in volume and tone controls. Other standout features include an ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, mother-of-pearl rosette and Guild peak headstock logo, tortoiseshell pickguard, and nylon-core phosphor bronze strings.

Guild’s iconic M-20 was the first guitar off the production line in 1967, when the company had grown so much that they relocated to a new factory in Westerly, RI. Nearly 50 years later, history has repeated itself in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in California. The M-20 is a concert size acoustic guitar built with solid mahogany top, back, and sides, informally nicknamed “the Nick Drake guitar” for its inclusion on the album art for Drake’s album, Bryter Layter. It features a rosewood bridge and fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, and an extremely light satin finish that allows this guitar to truly sing.
